SHEQ Advisor – Power Transmission & Distribution

Location: Uxbridge, West London

Contract: 6 Months

IR35: Inside IR35 - Allowances + Expenses Paid

ARCA Resourcing is currently recruiting for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to join a major engineering and infrastructure project in the power transmission and distribution sector.

This is an excellent opportunity for a SHEQ professional to secure a 6-month contract supporting a large-scale, high-profile energy infrastructure project in the Uxbridge area.

You’ll work closely with site, engineering and project teams, providing practical SHEQ support and helping to maintain the highest standards of health, safety, environmental and quality performance across the project.

The Role

As SHEQ Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out site inspections, audits and safety tours
• Supporting the development and implementation of Construction Phase Plans, RAMS and safe systems of work
• Supporting incident investigations and root cause analysis
• Monitoring compliance with CDM 2015 and UK health and safety legislation
• Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
• Providing practical SHEQ advice and guidance to operational and project teams
• Supporting environmental and quality compliance
• Maintaining SHEQ, training and competency records
• Producing SHEQ reports, KPIs and management information
• Promoting a positive and proactive safety culture across site

About You

We’re looking for a confident and experienced SHEQ professional with a background in High Voltage, Power, or Transmission & Distribution, who is immediately available and ready to start a new contract assignment.

Experience within any of the following sectors would be highly beneficial:

• Power Transmission & Distribution
• Utilities and Energy Infrastructure
• Electrical Infrastructure
• Renewable Energy / BESS
• Heavy Civil Engineering
• Rail
• Industrial or Infrastructure Construction
• Other safety-critical engineering environments

Requirements

• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent – minimum requirement
• Previous experience in a SHEQ, HSE or Health & Safety Advisor position
• Strong understanding of CDM 2015 and UK H&S legislation
• Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced project environment
